Emergency Department Nurse Leader – Florida. The Shands Healthcare System has retained our firm to conduct the ED Nurse Leader search for Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, a private, academic, not-for-profit, magnet-designated facility. Shands is home to a Level I Trauma Center, regional burn center and busy emergency transport program. The new Shands South Campus is a $388 million, 500,000 square foot facility and includes the Shands Cancer Hospital and the Shands Critical Care Center, which houses the new state-of-the-art ED. The 62-bay ED is the largest in the region, with large private patient rooms and spacious trauma rooms. It also includes 2-digital radiography rooms as well as imaging equipment in each of the 4-trauma rooms. The ED utilizes all the latest technology including a new electronic medical record system. The ED Nurse Leader is accountable for strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of systems that support professional practice and achieve the nursing vision and organizational goals. Supervises 145 FTE’s including 4-clinical nurse leaders. The ED Nursing Leader role requires a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing plus a master’s degree, and 3-years ER supervisory experience. Director of Case Management - California. 400+ bed not-for-profit facility needs Director to oversee the utilization of resources and the discharge process including the ongoing operations, development, management and utilization of financial, material and human resources, strategic planning and integrated program development. Also manages the Department of Social Services. Located near 3-national parks with lots of outdoor activities that include: water & snow skiing, sailing, canoeing, camping, fishing, hiking, and rock climbing. There is a university in the community along with dozens of other institutions of higher learning. There are a variety of indoor and outdoor shopping malls with all the major department stores. Director of Case Management – Texas. Acute care hospital in metropolitan area needs Director to supervise Case Management, Care Facilitation, Utilization Management, and Discharge Planning to include developing systems and processes. Supervision of 20 FTE’s. Oversees the collection, analysis and reporting of financial and quality data related to UM, QM and PI. Reports to CFO. RN with a bachelor's degree is required plus a minimum of 4-years experience in case management, utilization management, discharge planning or other cost/quality management program. Director of Critical Care Services - Southeast. Level I Trauma Center needs Director to oversee operations for multiple service areas including the MICU, SICU, CCU, Neuro ICU, Intermediate Care, Burn Unit & Telemetry services. This is a key role in the organization and the individual will be responsible for strategic planning, financial management, human resource management, and guiding clinical leaders & staff in the care of patients of various ages (infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations). This role requires a BSN plus a master's degree, preferably in Nursing, plus a minimum of 5-years progressive management experience to include 3-years in critical care roles. Director of Women’s Services – California. Not-for-profit health system in San Diego that includes 2-acute care facilities, a surgery center, home health, behavioral, rehabilitation services, plus a new state-of-the-art acute care facility currently under construction. The Director will oversee operations for a high-risk birthing center within a 350+ bed acute care facility with approximately 400 deliveries per month. The private birthing suites allow for a family-focused experience and there is a strong midwife program in place. A shared governance model is utilized and our client offers an excellent compensation and relocation package. An RN with a bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred.
Director of Newborn Nursery & NICU Services - Texas. Our client is located about 1 ½ hours from Austin and is part of a rapidly expanding, mission-based health system that now includes an acute care hospital, rural hospitals, and long term care facilities. The area boasts many attractions including lakes; university setting; golf courses; a historic downtown with antique stores & exquisite restaurants; new entertainment complexes; Texas wineries; and exceptional educational facilities. The Nursing Director will oversee operations for the Newborn Nursery & NICU service lines that includes 29-Well Baby Bassinets, 5 Level II bassinets and 4 Level III bassinets. RN with a bachelor's degree plus minimum of 3-years nursing management experience is required. Peds Hematology/Oncology Nurse Manager – Texas. Academic, acute care, level 1 trauma center needs experienced nursing leader for this newly created role. The Peds Hem/Onc Nurse Manager will be responsible for starting-up this new service line for facility. Serves as an expert for peds oncology/infusion services. Manages and coordinates patient care; hires, supervises & trains staff; develops & implements department budget. This health system is building a new pediatric hospital that is scheduled to open within the next 2-years. Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree in nursing preferred. Must also have 2-years experience in nursing management roles.
Director of Acute Care Services - Southwest. 400+ bed acute care hospital needs experienced nursing leader to direct the operational, financial, clinical and human resource functions for the Medical, Surgical, Intensive Care, Intermediate Care and Hemodialysis Services. Supervision of 200+ FTE’s including 4-direct reports. Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree preferred. Located in major metropolitan area with a low cost of living and unemployment (less than 6%).
Neuroscience Nursing Director – Georgia. Academic affiliated, acute care hospital in the Atlanta area. The patients admitted to this state-of-the-art program are strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and brain tumors, with an emphasis on strokes. The Director is responsible and accountable for the overall operations, and the provision and evaluation of patient care by all unit staff members and others, such as providers, ancillary staff, and students. Provides leadership and management in the areas of customer satisfaction, provision of safe & effective care, finance, human resources, communication, patient advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development. Director of Surgical Services - Midwest. 325+ bed acute care hospital located in a community with a diverse economy and low cost of living that services a population of approximately 500,000 residents. This progressive, patient-centered community hospital has strong service lines in cardiovascular, women's & children's, perioperative and critical care services. The Director will have oversight of the Main OR, PACU, Endoscopy, Central Sterile, Pre-Admit Services, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The facility uses Pyxis and Meditech. Operating Room Nurse Manager - Southeast. Acute care, teaching-affiliated hospital in metropolitan area is searching for 2-OR Nurse Managers for their organization: ENT-Ophthalmology and Ortho-Neuro services. As an OR Nurse Manager in this state-of-the-art environment, you would be working with a dynamic team of surgeons and clinicians coordinating comprehensive treatment plans for patients, in a role that is 90% administrative. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; 1-year supervisory experience; and a CNOR is preferred.
